Sell To Us

Flâneur knows how difficult it can be to sell a watch, therefore we’ve created the easiest process in the business. You simply fill out the form below and we’ll respond promptly with a cash offer.

We also offer consignment and have the lowest consignment fee in the business. We only charge 8-12% depending on the value of the watch, with the rate getting lower as the value of the watch gets higher.

Selling, Trading, or Consigning Your Watch

At Flâneur, we are always interested in adding to your collection, as well as to our inventory. We pay the highest prices for American and European watches, and our process is quick and simple. We encourage you to contact us whether you have a single watch or a large collection of watches you are looking to sell.

Flâneur is based on a shared passion: watches. We treat our customers, old and new, as if they are extended family members, because we are all family in the watch community. Our reputation for buying, selling, trading, maintenance and repair is pristine and one of renown. We are immediate, safe, and secure buyers, willing to travel if necessary.

Why Choose Flâneur?

·      Direct – Unlike other watch dealers who work through middlemen, Flâneur deals directly with the seller for two reasons: to provide the highest offer for your watch and to create a hassle-free transaction.

·      Fair – Flâneur submits offers based off current retail market values, not based off what middlemen will pay. We are consumer-to-consumer, allowing optimum pricing for both buyers and sellers alike.

·      Immediate – Unlike competitors, Flâneur submits firm and immediate cash offers. We will only reduce our offer if your watch is found to be grossly mis-described upon inspection. No need to wait for auction houses or brokers to find you a buyer. We are immediate and pay more!

·      Private – Frequently, other watch dealers will offer your watch to other dealers before submitting an offer, diminishing your watch’s “fresh to market” value potential. We are watch experts and will not offer your watch to others prior to submitting an offer. In fact, most times we will submit a higher offer due to your watch’s “fresh to market” status.

Selling a Watch

Please call us to determine the best price for your timepiece. All of our sales representatives are knowledgeable specialists who would love to help you. If you prefer, you can also email us with the details; you'll always get an answer back within 12 hours.

Please tell us in your email if you have the original box and documents, the reference number of your watch and include any available photographs.

Our goal is to make this process simple: after agreeing on a tentative price, we will email you a pre-paid/pre-insured shipping label.

When we receive your watch the next business day, we will inspect it and then send you a check overnight to your desired address.

If you purchased your watch from us, we will ALWAYS buy it back from you.

Trading a Watch

We always encourage you to do this if you’re interested in something new or different. Acquiring pre-owned watches is an essential part of our business. We update our inventory on this website daily, and we make trading your watch as easy as selling it.

Please tell us in your email if you have the original box and documents, the reference number of your watch and any available photographs.

Let us know what you see on our site that you’re interested in receiving in trade. If you don’t see exactly what you want, we have contacts with hundreds of both international and domestic watch dealers. With our extensive network, we'll locate what your heart desires.

You will get the most trade-in value towards watches that we have in stock, and your watch will be worth even more as a trade-in than just as a sale.

We'll process your transaction in as little as 2 days. Upon agreeing to a price range for the trade, we will gladly send you a pre-paid/pre-insured shipping label for your convenience. We will inspect your trade and within another 24 hours well have your new watch delivered to you.

In addition to emails, the best way to handle a trade is to talk with us the old-fashioned way: by phone. Call us and we will discuss your watch and also which timepiece you’d like to take in trade.

Consigning a Watch

We encourage consignment when you’re looking to get the maximum value for your watch and don’t mind waiting for the watch to sell to get paid. This is the most popular option for collectors who are selling their high-grade watches and investment pieces.

We always encourage you to do this if you’re interested in getting the best value for your timepiece. Consignment is a team effort. We use our name, reputation, and warranty to help you sell your watch to a qualified buyer for more than if you sold it yourself.

Please tell us in your email if you have the original box and documents, the reference number of your watch and any available photographs. We will reach out to you and discuss pricing, time frame, and any repairs that may need to be made prior to sale.

We’ll send you a pre-paid and insured FedEx Priority Overnight label and shipping instructions for your watch and any accessories. Once we receive the watch it will be professionally cleaned, serviced (if requested), photographed, and listed on our website. We will list the watch for a minimum of 30 days. If the watch has not sold after 30 days we will call you and discuss whether to change the price or return the watch to you.

In addition to emails, the best way to handle a consignment is to talk with us the old-fashioned way: by phone. Call us and we will discuss your watch and how we can help you sell it.
